Session Info

• During our first session together, we will:
—Talk about your goals
— Do a fun diagnostic assessment
— Create a plan for improvement together.

• Bring enough water/sports drinks to stay hydrated.
• Wear comfortable athletic clothing
• Closed-toe, rubber-soled athletic shoes
• Parents remain present.
• Bring your smile and I will bring mine!

For more than three years I’ve volunteered with Uptown Hoops NYC, where I now serve as a Lead Buddy Coach working with children and adults with special needs.

As a high school student, duo-sport varsity athlete, and life-long sports fan, I enjoy helping young athletes gain confidence while improving their skills in basketball and baseball—and having fun along the way. Every player learns differently, and every session is designed to be encouraging, active, and fun.

But it wasn’t always so easy for me.

When I first started basketball, it wasn’t much fun. Some of my early experiences weren’t very encouraging, and I know what it feels like to struggle when you’re learning something new. It wasn’t fun to “play” for me at first.

So, keeping my beginning in sports in mind coupled with my playing and teaching experience, I do my best to be encouraging, supportive, and helping players reach their next level. And I can honestly say that if you stick with it, you, too, can play on a team—or a higher-level team!
